When Kagome is pulled into an old well by a demon and comes out in feudal era Japan, she has to work with the arrogant and grumpy Inuyasha, a half-demon with dog ears to restore The Jewel of Four Souls.

I picked up Inuyasha because I loved the anime when I was younger, so far the manga is following the anime very closely with a few uncensored differences. There is a little nipple shown in the first volume.

The art is beautiful in the style that I’ve come to know as Rumiko Takahashi’s own signature look. I see it a lot in her other works. This is a classic, in my opinion, if there ever was one. I really love the series and it was a real comfort read for me.

There’s a lot of action, a lot of drama and I was surprised at how violent it got. I didn’t remember the anime being that violent like limbs being chopped off by a certain demon. It’s pretty nuts. Anyway, I’m glad I picked up part of the series and I can’t wait to continue on.
